Readers new to Majipoor often ask what order is best to read the books. Silverberg
recommends reading them in the order they were written. I agree, and not just because
that's the order I read them in. It makes sense to introduce yourself to a new world
the same way it was invented, and there's nothing plot-wise that is lost by starting
later
in the planet's history.
